Listen along for our Black History Month Interactive Story Time

Join NAAM for this month’s in-person Interactive Story Time reading of “The Story of Rap”. Bop along with the greats in this adorable baby book that introduces little ones to the rappers that started it all throughout history. Attendees will receive FREE copies of the book while supplies last and balls courtesy of the Seattle Sounders. Food will be provided free of charge from Ezell’s Chicken.

Get in touch with the music with an Afrobeats Dance Class

Join NAAM for a fun and upbeat fusion of different African dance styles. The dance experience will be hosted in Legacy Hall and led by instructor Jessica Dennis. Come and vibe out to music from across the motherland with live DJ, Muva Frekwensi.

Black History is in Our Stories | Interactive Story Time

A great way to celebrate Black History Month with the family is with stories chronicling the lives and history of Black individuals. Our Interactive Story Time program is sponsored by The PNC Foundation, City of Seattle Cultural Education Initiative, and First Tech Federal Credit Union and offers read along Interactive Story Time YouTube videos of children’s stories.
