Partnering with Amazon has significantly enriched ReWA’s Youth Program by integrating advanced robotics into our STEAM curriculum. Through hands-on learning with the Path-Following Robot, students – many of whom lack access to such technology – are gaining essential 21st-century skills in coding, engineering, and automation.
Our afterschool program now fosters deeper engagement, thanks to interactive projects and mentorship from Amazon volunteers. During a recent field trip to an Amazon facility, students collaborated with engineers to build and test robots, sparking curiosity and real-world insight into STEAM careers.
The Path-Following Robot introduces middle and high schoolers to core concepts in electronics, sensors, and Arduino programming. With ready-to-use components and customizable coding challenges, students explore how programmable hardware interacts with the physical world, developing problem-solving, teamwork, and computational thinking skills along the way.
