ReWA CHILDCARE SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE

 At
ReWA's 8th Annual Fundraising Dinner, at the Westin Hotel on
September 26th, 2003, our Childcare Center received over $8,100
in contributions in just 15 minutes! We wish to sincerely thank
the donors who made these generous contributions. With their
support, we are delighted to announce the ReWA Childcare Scholarship
program.
This money is intended to help families who cannot afford childcare
for short periods of time due to job interviews, domestic violence,
failing to qualify for City and/or State subsidies, and other short-term
emergency situations.
Interested parents and guardians are welcome to apply. Funding
and space are limited and not guaranteed.
Below are the details for each category:
Job Interviews: Each family can apply for $100
for childcare needed while attending job interviews. The award
will provide 20 hours of six months total per family. Must be used
within six months.
Domestic Violence:
Up to $450 per client, up
to two weeks full-time childcare. Please have client's social worker
or family advocate contact the ReWA Childcare Center for more information.
Emergency situations: Emergency situations will
be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the ReWA
Childcare Center for more information.
Failure to qualify for City and/or State subsidies:
Families
who do not qualify for City and/or State subsidies may be eligible
for a discount of 10% off the regular tuition for up to 3 months.
Income must not exceed 110% of the maximum for your family size
in the WCCC eligibility table, or 110% of the average for your
family size in the City of Seattle eligibility table.
