Nonexempt Regular Part Time (18 hours/week) /

PURPOSE:
Responsible for
preparing and implementing activities for after-school homework
tutoring sessions and for the College Bound Express Program. Lead
all aspects of program delivery, including teaching youth
participants and overseeing students, staff and volunteers with
regard to program curriculum, rules, polices and procedures.
Maintain program records as required for reporting and funding
purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Effectively deliver ReWA Youth Program services at Bilingual Orientation
Center by supporting student achievement and integrating College Bound
Express program elements for BOC students
-
Ensure availability of adequate supplies and materials for tutoring and
related activities; follow established purchasing policy and procedures
-
Work collaboratively with Lead Teacher(s) to tutor and supervise program
participants to achieve expected outcomes
-
Maintain complete and accurate attendance records
-
Provide updated attendance records and student demographic data to the
program manager following established reporting schedule
-
Collaborate with ReWA’s data specialist to ensure proper documentation
of students to meet all reporting needs
-
Maintain effective teamwork with the BOC staff, Education Program
Director, and Lead Teacher(s) for optimal program delivery results
-
Recruit students for the College Bound Express program to meet contract
goals
-
Conduct and complete evaluations of program participants to measure
program effectiveness
-
Attend staff and team meetings and required training
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Demonstrated experience working with children and
youth from diverse cultures and backgrounds
-
Knowledge of refugee and immigrant family issues
-
Strong organizational and outreach skills
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as
a team to follow through on projects
-
Record-keeping and report-writing skills
-
Patience and flexibility
-
Computer literate
-
Respect for others’ experiences, opinions,
language, values, culture, and knowledge
-
Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
-
Available for flexible hours (evenings and
weekends)

WA state driver’s license and vehicle insurance
