EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Often, refugee and immigrant parents feel disconnected and unsupported by existing child care programs due to language, cultural, and religious barriers.

ReWA's Early Childhood Education Program offers a rich and culturally sensitive curriculum that fosters a dual-language model. Our Early Childhood Education Program enables each child to explore, gain skills and build competencies. ReWA has two program locations: ReWA preschool on Beacon Hill, serving children 3-5 years old, and ReWA childcare at the Main Office, serving infant-3 years old.

The centers offer the following features:

  • Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program
  • Qualified bilingual and bicultural staff
  • Strong literacy programs
  • Integrated, dual-language curriculum
  • Culturally-relevant, home-cooked hot meals
  • Supportive services through bilingual and bicultural Family Advocates
  • Free part-day childcare for qualifying families
  • NACCP Accreditation (National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs

Our "Soy Bilingue" curriculum creates a balanced support of home language and culture, while equipping children with the necessary English skills development for their transition to Kindergarten. ReWA's Create Curriculum meets the social, emotional, physical, language, cognitive and literacy objectives for childhood learning and development using a play-based model.

The Beacon Hill and Main Office sites provide small-classroom environments for an individualized, intimate learning focus. Each child is encouraged to not only share their own culture, but value others different from their own.
